Escape to Brooklyn Grange... a tranquil setting for your fishing
Brooklyn Grange is set in beautiful surroundings just off the A53 Leek to Buxton road with stunning vistas looking across to the Roaches and End Cloud. The fishery and its environs are havens for wildlife with a wealth of biodiversity.
There are three beautiful pools, the Specimen, Match and Conservation Pools, which vary in depth between two and eight feet. They have many features with prominent and silty areas and small drop-offs. In the warmer months there is a variety of water vegetation providing a rich natural food source which contributes to the size and health of the fish.
In April 2010 we started a re-stocking programme. We introduced 110 12lb –14lb and 2,200 10 inch Leneys English Carp to tranform the main pool into a specimen carp venue. This lake now has several 20 pounders!
The middle Match Pool was stocked with 1,500 Leneys Carp up to 10 inches and 1,000 Roach.
providing a fantastic days coarse fishing for all, including open match anglers, club match anglers, specimen anglers and pleasure anglers of all levels.
This Match lake suites mainly pole tactics because of its size, shape and physical features. Successful baits include soft pellets, sweetcorn, maggots, luncheon meat and paste.
The second phase of this management programme was rolled out in March 2015 and will see the introduction of 30 12lb –20lb carp over the next 3 years.
Fish health and safety is a main priority as we are committed to providing a top-class angling experience.
The area is well maintained and has been developed into a 35 peg site. Whereas a straight lead with corn will take carp tallies into double-figures. The carp can can also be taken on floaters in the warmer months.
We are also planning to establish a new angler’s lodge and secure parking. The lodge will have all the facilities to make longer sessions more comfortable and enjoyable. The secure parking will offer peace of mind. We want you to focus on the fishing.
Our aim is to become one of the area's leading specimen carp fisheries providing excellent facilities and large healthy fish... A safe secure environment for fish and anglers alike!
We hope to see you soon on the bank

“Three pools make up this complex and each have a good head of fish. Floatfished maggot or caster will catch roach, rudd and the occasional bream, whereas a straight lead with corn will take carp to double-figures. These can also be taken on floaters in the warmer months.”
